Great visit, cozy place with a warm atmosphere and friendly staff. The fish cakes with baked beans was delicious and the pan fried haddock with mashed potatos was also great! The fish was nice and fresh. Loved it !
came here because rhubarb was full and i was starving. so happy!! amazing food, i wish i could try everything. fish and chips was so yummy i got a second piece. love the ambience, cute restored dining room and lovely french acadian (?) folk music playing. lovely service and vibes. this cafe is exactly what i come to the east coast for.
The service was very nice. The staff warm and welcoming while also gently enforcing the quarantine mandate. We had good breakfast then reserved two servings of Rappie Pie. Took them back to Port Williams and had them for supper. They were very good reheated. I can only imagine what they would be like fresh from the oven. We returned one year later and found the place to be as warm and friendly as before. They have a really neat gift shop selection. They also have really interesting and informative historical stories on the tables. This time my daughter and I had the meat pie which was delicious. The garden salads came with a homemade salad dressing which was excellent.. Our grandson loved their homemade bread.
I've been wanting to try this restaurant for a while now. First of all, let me say this is the cleanest restaurant I've ever seen. The floors gleamed! Service was quick and friendly. I wanted to splurge, so I ordered the lobster roll which came with fries, and a glass of pinot grigio. The lobster roll was amazing. I swear they had the whole tail and some claw meat on that bun. No fillers! The wine was cold and crisp. Just to my liking. I ordered a slice of meat pie to go which I had for dinner that night. (If you had a French mom who made meat pie, don't even try to compare it because nothing ever meets those standards, LOL.) But the meat pie was very tasty and I recommend it. I could hear comments from my neighbor diners saying they were also enjoying their meals. They also had a table with nice items for sale from what I assume are local artisans. I look forward to dining at the Cafe l'Acadie again!
Had a great meal here, the meat pie. Menu is really good and the meals we spied on looked equally as good as ours. And the restaurant is spotless, bright and charming.
Stopped at Cafe l’Acadie on the way to Peggy’s Cove yesterday! Bright, clean, and cozy with friendly service! Lots of gf options! I had the meat pie with gf crust and the most delicious strawberry shortcake made with a gf biscuit! I was so excited for the shortcake that I completly forgot to take a pic!
One of the best servings of fish and chips I’ve ever had in my life, and a beautiful spot to sit outside to enjoy it. I’ll definitely be back here more than once.
My little Acadian heart was so happy to stumble on this little restaurant on “Rappie Pie Sunday”. It was absolutely delicious and I was informed that it was fresh out of the oven and I even got the corner piece which is the best part of a Rappie pie. You can definitely tell the food is made with heart and it made me even happier to know that the owner is an Acadian which made the experience a lot more special. There’s also little pieces of “Acadie” around the restaurant which made me feel that more at home. I will 100000% be back someday Merci Beaucoup!
